Father’s Day at Thirsty Lion Gastropub
Thirsty Lion Gastropub celebrates Father’s Day on Sunday, June 18th with a specialty brunch. Guests can enjoy a selection of breakfast cocktails including the Titos Screwdriver, the Wasabi Bloody Mary, the Blood Orange Mimosa, and the Salted Caramel Moroccan Coffee in addition to a selection of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, burgers and kitchen specialties including: • Adobo Pork Benedict- Jalapeno corn bread, red chili pork, guajillo sauce, poached eggs and chipotle hollandaise with roasted breakfast potatoes. • Lion’s Breakfast Burger- Grilled 1/2lb burger, maple bacon, smoked ham, fried egg, cheddar cheese, arugula and tomato on ciabatta bread with chipotle aioli and French fries. • Corned Beef Hash- Braised corned beef, caramelized onions, red peppers, Swiss cheese and poached eggs with roasted breakfast potatoes. LDV Winery Announces June Days Le Nez du Vin Classes JUNE 8 and 22
It’s practically summertime, the season of sitting poolside with a refreshing glass of wine! It’s also onset of June Days, the city of Scottsdale’s summer spectacular that celebrates all things summertime throughout Old Town. In honor of the season, and of June Days, LDV Winery announces several Le Nez du Vin classes taking place Thursday, June and Thursday, June 22 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or 4-5:30 p.m. Each Le Nez du Vin class serves as a curated sensory wine experience like no other. During the event, guests are encouraged to expand their wine appreciation using all their senses. The experience helps participants build their expertise in identifying wine aromas while expanding their wine vocabulary and knowledge. The 90-minute interactive course includes a tasting of LDV wines, nibbles, wine and chocolate pairings and lots of wine information — all in a fun and laidback environment. Cost is $65, plus 25 percent gratuity per person. Class minimum is four people, maximum is 16 to ensure an intimate experience for all. Guests can register by calling 480-664-4822. LDV Winery announces its Vineyard to Table Supper Club series, with four upcoming events this summer. Each event, held monthly from June through Sept., features a multi-course dinner paired with award-winning LDV wines. Held at the Tasting Room in Old Town Scottsdale, these monthly events offer an intimate wining and dining experience for guests.
