Horror FilmFest: The Fly

Horror FilmFest: The Fly

Film
Get spooked Wednesdays in October, where the downtown branch will be screening classic and contemporary horror movies*. Vampires, zombies, and slashers, oh no! The Fly (1986): A brilliant scientist begins to transform into a giant fly after one of his experiments goes horribly wrong. In a rare instance where the remake tops the original, David Cronenberg’s splatter-fest transcends the horror genre, a truly great movie with emotional resonance and depth. And it’s also quite terrifying, with top-notch special effects, great acting, and tons of thrills. A classic. *Due to the content of these films, this is an adults only program. No one under 18 will be permitted entry.
