At the age of 24, Xavier Jara has already won many important competitions, including 1st prize at the Andrés Segovia competition in Velbert, Germany; 1st prize at the Boston Guitarfest; 1st prize at the International Guitar Competition of Viseu in Portugal; 1st prize at the Gargnano International Guitar Competition in Italy; and, most recently, 1st prize at the Guitar Foundation of America International Competition in 2016.
