Come one, come all for the 14th annual Run for Ryan House featuring a 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Mesa Riverview Park. We invite you to get outside and spend the morning with us and assist in our mission to continue to provide world-class care and programs for the medically fragile children and families we serve as they navigate life-limiting or end-of-life journeys. Event highlights include: • Runners, walkers, wheelchairs, strollers, dogs, teams & virtual runners welcome • A shirt, bib, goodie bag, and a participation medal • Race Expo and awards ceremony • Sign up to create your personal fundraising page • New friends and great memories!

Phoenix Children's Hospital 5k
Go the distance, make a difference! The Phoenix Children's Hospital 5K is a family-friendly 3.1 mile run/walk for devoted runners, weekend joggers, families looking to do something fun, or simply those who want to make a difference. The 3rd Annual 5K Race for Phoenix Children’s will take place on Saturday, Oct. 6 at CityScape in Downtown Phoenix. Walk, run and fundraise to the finish line! Recruit family members and colleagues to raise funds and awareness for Phoenix Children's Hospital. Start a team, create a fundraising page and provide hope, healing and ensure the best healthcare possible is available for all patients and their families. Kids can get in on the fun by joining in the 100 yard kids dash. All proceeds from the event support more than 60 of the Hospital’s programs and services funded solely or significantly through philanthropy. Saturday, Oct. 6 Pre-race activities start at 6:30 a.m. 5K race at 7:30 a.m. Kids dash at 8:30 a.m. (Kids 12 and younger)

WalkPHX Wednesdays
FitPHX, the citywide health and wellness initiative, is launching a brand-new walking program at Margaret T. Hance Park with a proud title sponsorship from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ). WalkPHX Wednesdays takes you on a 3.2-mile loop through Downtown Phoenix, and through three gorgeous downtown Phoenix Parks. On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, starting on Mar. 14, you can enjoy a 3.2-mile non-competitive social walk/run through downtown Phoenix with rotating food trucks at Margaret T. Hance Park. Enjoy socializing with other community members who are trying to get fit and healthy just like you. Park for free at Margaret T. Hance Park (67 W. Culver St.) between 5:15-5:30pm, where you will register/check-in. Start your self-led walking/running route via a route guide that you will receive at check-in. This event focuses on fitness, socializing, and community building. The route through downtown Phoenix highlights some beautiful and historic locations that you might miss if you were just driving through. Afterwards, return to Margaret T. Hance Park and enter to win a raffle prize; drawings will take place at 6:45 p.m.
