Kick-off the month of May with Dignity Health’s Wellness 5K on Saturday, May 6 2017 at Freestone Park in Gilbert. The event has a distance for everyone, including a 5K Run/Walk, Family 1 Mile, and 100 Yard Kids' Dash, so bring your family and friends. Proceeds from this event will support innovative programs and patient care, capital equipment, research and medical education for Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers. Fulton Homes Superhero 5K Walk/Run
Come out for a morning of fun, music, and dogs. This 5K is family and dog friendly and all participants are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite superhero. There will be a costume contest so come dressed to impress. All proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project. There will be various vendors on site for you and your dog and the first 100 dogs to the race get a doggie goodie bag. There will also be local animal shelters at the race so you can adopt on-site.

Heritage Elementary School 3rd Annual Color Run
What better way to show your true colors and support your local charter school than with a fun run/walk through powerful pops of color targeted to tie-dye any white T-shirt? On May 6, at 10 a.m., kids and adults alike can do just that, with entry fees supporting Heritage Elementary School’s Glendale campus. Entry fees for the Heritage Elementary Glendale Color Run/Walk, sponsored by Crest Insurance Group, are $20 for adults and $10 for kids, and are payable at the event. These prices include a barbecue lunch and a wearable number. Plus, if you’re among the first 100 to register, you’ll also receive a free dri-fit shirt.

Mogollon Monster Mudda
The 5th Annual Mogollon Monster Mudda, with over 35 different obstacles will take place on a 5K course. This course has various different grades where you will climb and descend. Fun for the whole family. Heat assignments: 2 "elite" heats - 8:30 and 8:45 a.m., 50 spots each. These two heats will be the first of the day. It is suggested that you be a higher level Obstacle Course Race (OCR) runner in above normal competitive shape to participate. Only Elite Heat runners will be eligible for The Monster Gladiator Challenge, a new event taking place at 6:30 p.m. in the Coliseum of Terror. The top 10 male and female times from the two elite heats will be invited to participate, with the top 10 facing off in head to head challenges (male and female). The top times for both men and women will walk away with a $1,000 grand prize and bragging rights as the 2017 Monster Gladiator. Other heats will be available for the main event during the day; participants can register for a time of their choosing (heats will "close" once they're filled). There will also be a "Kidz Mudda" for ages 6-11.
