12K's of Christmas & Santa's Pet Village
This annual family and pet-friendly event, winner of the Arizona Event of the Year Award, offers participants a choice of 1.2K, 6K or 12K run/walks, along with holiday music, shopping and a "pet village" featuring displays from rescue groups and vendors offering pet-related products. A portion of the proceeds from the run/walk go to support Maricopa County Animal Care & Control and Friends of Animals Care and Control, as well as all participating rescues.

Arizona Heroes in Recovery 6K Run/Walk
The Arizona Heroes race is a unique 6K run and walk located in Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch. It takes a heroic effort to live clean and sober each day, and Heroes 6K celebrates that effort. The sixth kilometer separates a Heroes race from a typical 5K to symbolize the extra effort it takes to sustain recovery. The six kilometers also respresent the six letters in the word "heroes." Join the movement. Run the race. Break the stigma!

Breathe Deep Phoenix Walk & Fun Run to End Lung Cancer
LUNGevity Foundation is hosting its 8th annual Breathe Deep Phoenix Walk & Fun Run on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, AZ. In addition to a 2-mile walk and run, the event offers a festive atmosphere with music, speakers, awards, refreshments, kids activities, and a special tribute to lung cancer survivors. Proceeds from this event help LUNGevity fund new research, education, and programs that support those affected by lung cancer. Register at www.lungevity.org/phoenix and help end lung cancer.

The Butterfly Run Presented by Big Lots
Big Lots! Presents The Butterfly Run For Behavioral Health is a fun family fitness event to grow awareness, break stigmas, and raise funds for lifesaving pediatric behavioral health research. The 10K, 5K, and Kids Run event will Help Big Lots and Nationwide Children’s Hospital break the stigma of behavior health issues, and raise money for crucial pediatric behavioral health research. Saturday, November 11. Family-friendly pre-race activities start at 7:00 AM MST. Register online at ButterflyRun.org, and in-person at Big Lots, 2840 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ. Participants in this family-friendly event will receive a t-shirt, distinctive butterfly-shaped medal, and post-race brunch and activities on-site in Big Lots’ “Butterfly Village.”

Healthy Kids Running Series
HKRS is a not for profit organization (501c3) and is a five week running program (run every spring and fall) for kids from Pre-K to 8th grade (age 2-14). Each race series takes place once a week and offers age appropriate running events including the 50 yard dash, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the one mile run. Kids compete each week of the series for a chance to earn points and at the end of the series the top boy and girl in their respective age division receive a trophy & prize.

Mesa Adventure Challenge
The Mesa Adventure Challenge is a wildly fun urban experience that is as much adventure race as it is scavenger hunt. Compare it to "The Amazing Race," but on a local level, where anyone over the age of 12 can participate. Teams of two to ten people will solve clues, travel to local points of interest, and complete fun challenges while discovering Mesa in a whole new way.

O.U.R. Phoenix Rescue Run
Runners and walkers, sign up for the O.U.R. Phoenix Rescue Run Sanctioned by USATF to kickoff your fall racing season. The course begins on a smooth high school track and exits to a nearby scenic park on a flat and fast, straight 5k course before ending with a final lap on the track. Family and stroller friendly. Race t-shirts and custom medals given to every participant who completes the 5k with prizes awarded to the top finishers in each category. Categories are as follows: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Male and Female Overall Finishers and 1st Place Overall Male and Female in age groups: 12-19,20-29,30-39,40-49,50-59,60+. Following the 5k, a 1-mile Kids Run will be held on the track with each participant receiving a medal. All proceeds will directly benefit Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), a non-profit organization whose mission is to rescue children from sex slavery. Come support this worthy cause and maybe attain a personal record in the process.

Out Race Cancer© 5K/1M Fun Run/Walk
Out Race Cancer is a 5k/1mile Run / Walk to support Cancer Caregivers education programs - free seminars provided by Arizona Myeloma Network for all Cancer Caregivers, patients, families and supporters. Head to Bondurant Racing School on Saturday, November 19th for a fun-filled morning featuring a 5K/1M race with with medals for every age group, young and old, walkers and runners, refreshments, entertainment and a chance to show that you Care about Cancer. Age Groups: 12 and under free, 13-16 , 17-20; 21-29, 30-39 ,40-49 ,50-59, 60-69, 70 and above. Medals are awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age division.
