2018 Devour Week
The Devour Culinary Classic is the region’s premier annual week of culinary events hosted by Phoenix Art Museum, Local First Arizona and Devour Phoenix. The goal is to showcase the fine food and drink purveyors of Arizona while furthering metro Phoenix as a dining destination worthy of international prestige. 7th Annual Gran Gala Dominicana
On Saturday February 24th, 2018, Bella Q Dance Studio will celebrate its 7th year of producing the highly acclaimed Red Carpet Gran Gala Dominicana, hosting more than 200 guests at the Cedar Banquet Hall. The event takes place the last Saturday in February as a celebration of the Dominican Republic Independence Day, which is February 27. This year, the Dominican Gala will feature performances by local folkloric groups, such as Ballet Folkrórico Fiesta Mexicana, Colombia Vive, and Bella Q Eztreyaz, a diverse menu, and recognition of five Dominican personalities for their relentless work in the community: Robert Uribe, 31st Mayor of Douglas; Dr. Maria Harper-Marinick, Chancellor of Maricopa Community College District; Tony Diaz, Baseball Coach for the MLB Colorado Rockies, Marco Soto, UnitedHealth Care Director of Sales for Special Needs Medicare Plans; and Benny Morel, Army Veteran and Entrepreneur. Nydia Stuart, President of the Puerto Rican Center of Arizona will also be receiving an award for her humanitarian work in the Puerto Rican community during hurricane Maria. Guests arrive on the fabulous red-carpet runway at 6:30 PM, enjoy a cocktail reception, then sit down for a sumptuous Dominican dinner and awards ceremony.

Agave Nectar, Nopalitos & A Taste of Desert Plants with Jim Shepherd
Have you tasted the sweet, unique flour that can be ground from mesquite pods? How about a nopalito; the pickled strips of prickly pear cactus pads? Learn some of the edible, medicinal and useful properties of familiar desert plants along our Curandero Trail on a leisurely (but lively!) walk guided by desert plant enthusiasts Jim Shepherd. You'll see prickly pear cacti, the towering stalks of our native Agave chrysantha, mesquite trees with a chance to taste a few 'desert edible' samples ranging from prickly pear jelly to nopalitos, mesquite flour, and agave nectar. During his walk Jim also shares a synopsis of Arboretum history and narrates ways prickly pear cacti, ratany, agaves and jojobas have fed, healed and clothed Sonoran desert peoples for more than 1,000 years. No advance signup required, just be in our visitor center breezeway at 1:30 p.m. start time. Note: this tour explores the Curandero Trail, which has steep sections that are not suitable for visitors who use wheelchairs or walkers

Arizona Cocktail Week
Arizona Cocktail Weekend, the Southwest's premier event for hospitality professionals and cocktail enthusiasts, will host the Annual event February 17-19. It's a weekend celebration of the craft of the cocktail that includes everything from parties, spirit tastings, and educational seminars, to cocktail competitions, drinks specials and dinners. Events are planned at various locations in downtown Phoenix. Restaurant activations are planned throughout the week in the Phoenix Metro area. The weekend is filled with an assortment of special events for the local market. Approximately 10,000 people participated in parties, tastings, dinners and activations last year.

The largest hands-on outdoor expo in Arizona! Admission and parking are free. There is always plenty of hands-on fun for all ages. There are huge family fishing tanks. See all sorts of live wildlife. Art of Ice Cream Experience
The Art of Ice Cream Experience is a pop-up art exhibit coming to Scottsdale, AZ for a limited three month engagement. The Ice Cream themed exhibit will feature themed rooms filled with color, texture and interactive engagement. The pop-up experience will be open daily from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. starting December 1. Limited tickets are available for the soft opening scheduled for November 22. Guests can choose their arrival time and will have approximately 60 minutes to explore the vivid spaces and take as many social sharing images as their devices can handle. Ice cream tastes and treats will be available for sampling, engaging all five senses in this immersive experience. The Instagrammable spaces will have such themes as the Banana Split Room, the Milk Shake Room, the Popsicle Room and the Cone or Cup Room.Ice cream-loving guests can begin scooping up their spots for the Art of Ice Cream Experience now with pre-sale tickets available online at A limited number of tickets will be available each day.
